Do not overload yourself with activities.

 If you feel tense, think of removing one or two activities, opting to keep the most important.

Do not try to be perfect - nobody is. Expect perfection of others increases your stress level (not to mention the pressure on others). If you need help with something, like school work, ask for it.


Sleep well.

When the amount of hours needed sleep, the body and mind are kept in good condition and can handle any negative situation that causes stress. Because the "sleep clock" biological changes during adolescence, many teens prefer to stay up later at night and sleep later in the morning. But if you go to bed late and getting up early to go to school, you will not sleep the number of hours required.


Solve simple problems.

Learn to solve everyday problems makes you feel in control. Avoiding them can make you feel that you have little control of the situation, causing you even more stress. Learn to calmly assess the situation, to think about the choices you have, and take steps to resolve the issue. When you feel able to solve small problems, you have the confidence to solve more complex problems - which will help in situations that cause you stress.


Watch your thoughts.

Your outlook, attitude and thoughts greatly influence how you perceive situations. Is your glass half full or half empty? A good dose of optimism will help you get ahead in difficult situations. Even without practice or be somewhat pessimistic, we can all learn to think more optimistically and enjoy the benefits.


Watch your body.

Experts agree that regular exercise helps people manage stress. (The excessive or compulsive exercise can contribute to stress, therefore, must be done in moderation) Eat well for your body to function in the best way possible. When you feel stress, it is easy to eat hastily and eat fast food or that are not nutritious. When you're stressed, your body needs more vitamins and minerals than ever. Some people use drugs to escape from emotional stress. Although it seems that alcohol and drugs temporarily relieve emotional stress, the reality is that depend on them causes more stress because it affects the body's natural ability to recover.
